There are moments on the journey to parenthood when reassurance isn’t enough — you need someone beside you.
Parenthood has a funny way of reminding us that very little is actually within our control.
We can make plans. We can prepare. We can read the books, follow the advice, and spend far too long comparing baby products online.
And then life does what life does.
As a Birth Doula and HypnoBirthing® Educator, I support English-speaking families through pregnancy, birth and the unexpected turns that sometimes come with them — including complex pregnancies, NICU journeys and early parenthood.
Not by telling you what decisions to make.
Not by convincing you to birth a certain way.
Most people don't need more information. They're already drowning in it.
What they need is help making sense of it.
Someone who can help them understand their options, trust themselves, and feel more confident navigating whatever comes next.
Because birth plans are useful.
The ability to adapt when things change is priceless.

From uncertainty to clarity.
From fear to steadiness.
From feeling lost to feeling held.
Welcome — I'm Toni.
I support individuals and families through the moments that change everything.
I've sat on both sides of the conversation — as a professional supporting families, and as a parent navigating my own fertility journey, medically complex pregnancy, prematurity and NICU experience.
What those experiences taught me is that support is about far more than information.
It's about how you feel while you're living through it.
Whether you feel heard.
Whether you feel informed.
Whether you feel respected.
Whether you feel confident enough to trust yourself.
For many expat families, those experiences can feel even more overwhelming when you're navigating an unfamiliar system far from home.
You deserve support that is honest, steady, transparent, and centred around what matters most to you.

Care that meets you
where you are
You don't need to be facing a crisis to deserve support.
Sometimes support looks like preparing for birth with confidence and understanding. Sometimes it looks like making sense of difficult decisions, navigating uncertainty, or finding your footing when things feel overwhelming.
My role isn't to have all the answers.
It's to help you make sense of what's happening, understand your options, and feel supported while you figure out what's right for you.
Someone who can listen without judgement.
Explain things without making them more complicated.
And hold space for both the excitement and the fear.
Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating fertility treatment, adjusting to life with a new baby, or finding your footing during a NICU stay, support should meet you where you are — not where somebody else thinks you should be.

A different kind of support for a different kind of journey
The Dutch maternity system is excellent in many ways.
But even within a good system, it's possible to feel overwhelmed, unsure, or like everyone else received the handbook you somehow missed.
My role isn't to replace your care team.
It's to help you make sense of what's happening, understand your options, and feel supported through the parts that don't fit neatly into an appointment.
The questions that come afterwards.
The conversations that feel difficult.
The thoughts that show up at 2am when everyone else is asleep.
Those moments matter too.
Because support isn't just about information.
It's about feeling seen, heard, and understood while you're living through it.

What support can look like
UNDERSTAND
Understanding your options without needing a medical dictionary, a Google rabbit hole, or three conflicting opinions from the internet.
REGULATE
A calm, steady presence when things feel overwhelming, uncertain, or simply bigger than you expected.
COMMUNICATE
Support in finding your voice, asking the questions that matter, and feeling more confident navigating conversations with healthcare providers.
INTEGRATE
Space to process the parts that don't always fit into an appointment, or a neat little box - from fertility through early motherhood.

Support for the journeys nobody plans for
Most parents don't expect to find themselves navigating fertility treatment, medical complexity, prematurity, or NICU care.
I know that because I've lived parts of that journey myself.
When things become more complicated, support matters even more.
Not just for your baby, but for you as well.
Some of the most difficult moments of parenthood aren't always the medical ones. They're the moments when you're trying to make sense of what's happening while holding everything together at the same time.
That's where specialist support can make all the difference.
Because real life is rarely as straightforward as the brochure suggested.
The support needs to be able to adapt too.

Ways to Work With Me

CLIENT EXPERIENCE

— Expat parent in the Netherlands

What parents tell me they value most
Feeling informed without becoming overwhelmed.
Knowing their options when decisions feel difficult.
Having someone they trust who can explain things clearly and honestly.
Feeling calmer, more confident, and better prepared for the unexpected.
Support that adapts as things change.
Knowing there is someone beside them who understands both the practical realities and emotional weight of the journey.

Who I work with
Most of the families I support are expats navigating pregnancy and parenthood in the Netherlands.
Some are planning home births and water births.
Some are planning epidurals.
Some are planning caesareans.
And some are discovering that babies rarely consult the birth plan before making their entrance.
Some have straightforward journeys.
Others have travelled a much longer road to get here.
What matters far less to me is how you plan to give birth.
What matters much more is how you want to feel while you're moving through it.
Informed.
Supported.
Confident in your decisions.
And free to make the choices that are right for you.

Parenthood doesn't come with a handbook.
(Although sometimes it feels like everyone else got one.)
Whether you are trying to conceive, preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a new baby, or navigating a journey you never expected to be on, you deserve support that helps you feel informed, steady and understood.
My role isn't to tell you what decisions to make.
It's to help you understand your options, trust yourself, and feel supported as you make them.
If that sounds like the kind of support you've been looking for, I'd love to hear your story.
